Portable computers are often called Laptops or Notebook Computers, but that designation is actually something of a misnomer. The truth is that so-called laptops can easily heat up and cause distress if you actually place them on your lap. What's worse, they slide around, afford poor viewing angles and often require you to contort your wrists in such a way that carpal tunnel never seems far off!

No wonder so many people use these portable computers on tables instead. If you have ever tried to type on a plane, you may have realized that tray tables were practically invented for this reason. The same holds for using laptops in a car. Car Laptop Table or Car Desks are also necessary for using Notebooks in the car. Unfortunately, too many parents let their kids work on laptops without an adequate surface, creating an irritating and potentially dangerous dynamic in the back.
